M.Y. Keating
Michael Keating was born in St. Catharines. He was very well known, local figure. He was the Mayor of St. Catharines from 1899-1900. His other roles included: Justice of the Peace, Secretary Treasurer of the Roman Catholic School Trustees, Trustee of the St. Catharines General and Marine Hospital, and Director of the Security Loan and Savings Company. He also served on the St. Catharines Board of Trade.
The M.Y. Keating store sold books, stationery, office, and school supplies as well as magazines and periodicals. Picture framing was also offered.
