McSloy Brothers provided a slew of decadent treats including some of the Woodruff family favourites which seemed to include: walnut cake, macaroons, sponge cake, candy, cream sponge, and chocolate cake.
James and Hugh McSloy took over this bakery on the ground floor of the building at 77 King Street in 1876. The building had been owned by the McArdle Family who were also bakers. The McArdles continued to live in the residential part of the building when the McSloy Family took over the bakery.
