These collections contain records of both accomplished women who broke barriers and the travel experiences of women in the United States and Canada. This includes the first Canadian woman to solo pilot a helicopter, the first woman alderman on the St. Catharines City Council, an American activist and socialist who advocated for workers’ and women’s rights, and the travels of women through the United States and Canada from 1896 to 1934.
