Anne McPherson family fonds, 1852-2011
This fonds contains the records of the McCordick, Smith and McPherson families of St. Catharines, Ontario. The families are related through marriage. Frank Case McCordick was a World War I veteran, local businessman and one time mayor of St. Catharines. His son, E. Frank McCordick, was a veteran of World War II, a local businessman and a community leader. Helen McCordick was a member of the Red Cross Women's Transport Corps of St. Catharines and helped provide a number of key services during WWII. Stanley George Smith was the deputy postmaster and secretary-treasurer of the James D. Tait Co. Limited.
The fonds reflects the activities of these three families in their local environment and beyond.
