From Europe

The collections in this category are mid-to-late 19th century records of Europeans travelling through North America.  It includes material about the Prince of Wales' tour of Canada in 1860 (including a visit to Niagara Falls), and the work of a French astronomer and geodesist who was part of a mission by the Academy of Sciences to observe the transit of Venus in 1882.
