Niagara: Connecting Themes across Space and Time
The Archives & Special Collections house some of the most unique, rare and valuable collections in the Brock University Library. The focus of the collection is aspects of life on the Niagara Peninsula from the earliest geological formations to the present. But these materials connect Niagara to other regions and other time periods through the movement of people and ideas. They illustrate historical trends, events, and themes as they were reflected in this region. For example, there is material on the American Civil War and Slavery, Indigenous History, the Labour Movement, both World Wars, Medieval History, and more. This site is a compilation of some of these resources that contain material relevant to more than just Niagara. Many of the collections contain a diverse range of materials that span multiple subject areas.
