William Still Handbill
William Still helped hundreds of escaping slaves find freedom in Canada and the American North via the Underground Railroad. It is amazing to see him specifically mention St. Catharines in this personal note on one of his boarding house ads, where he writes, "Do remember me very kindly to my inquiring friends. But I seldom hear of late from St. Catharines."
