El Poema del Niagara

Juan Antonio Pérez Bonalde (1846-1892) visited Niagara Falls in 1880 and wrote a lengthy poem in Spanish about Niagara.  Although Bonalde was from Venezuela, he dedicated the poem to Emilio Castelar, a Spanish politician, historian, and journalist who served as President of the Executive Power of the First Spanish Republic between 1873 and 1874.
