London Gazette Extraordinary, November 27, 1812, containing accounts of the Battle of Queenston Heights, during which Major General Isaac Brock and his aide-de-camp John Macdonell were killed.  

The War of 1812 Newspaper collection contains American, British, and Canadian newspapers published around the time of the War of 1812.   Many of the issues report on the events of the war.  The War of 1812 Newspaper Collection finding aid contains an alphabetical list of newspapers included in the collection, noting news items concerning events in the Niagara region.  Articles concerning General Isaac Brock, Tecumseh, and John Norton (Mohawk Chief) have also been noted.  Some of the newspapers included in the collection can be found below.
