Robert Patterson
Robert Patterson, born 1830 in Dunbar, Scotland, was married to Agnes Paxton on 24 August 1857. Agnes Paxton was also a native of Dunbar, Scotland.
Patterson was a flour mill operator in Port Dalhousie as well as acting as the police magistrate in the village. In later years, he would be the watchman for the government gate yard.
Patterson served as Master of the Seymour Lodge for 1872 and 1876. He died 21 November 1902 and is buried in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian / United Cemetery in Port Dalhousie.
This photograph was taken in Bucksport, Maine. During this time, Bucksport was known for its paper mills and shipbuilding industry. Not unlike that of Port Dalhousie.
