A photograph swimmers Marilyn Bell and Cliff Lumsden at the Canadian National Exhibition. Lumsden (24yrs) was the only swimmer to complete the CNE marathon race and win the $25,000 prize. He was in the water for 19hrs 48mins and 9sec. The other 29 contestants were unable to remain in the frigid Lake Ontario water.
