Catharine C. Disher (1825-1865)

Catharine C. Disher was the daughter of J. Henry and Catharine Disher.  She died at the age of 40 years and is buried in the Rockway Cemetery next to the Rockway Presbyterian Church.   At her death, she was living with her mother Catharine Disher at a home on Salina Street in St. Catharines.

Little other information is known about Catharine C. Disher.  The Archives and Special Collections, Brock University welcomes any additional information that would add to this profile.  

Environmental deterioration has taken its toll on the tombstone of Catharine C. Disher 

No tombstone photograph was included in the Catharine C. Disher folder in the 19th Century Tombstone Project, RG 456, Brock University Archives.  A site visit was made to the Rockway Cemetery in October 2020 to locate the tombstone.   Due to environmental deterioration, this only a best guess at what may be the tombstone of Catharine C. Disher based on the data sheets in the Project.
