Martindale Pond
In 1824, it was decided to construct a dam in order for the lake’s waters to be contained. As a result of this project, the Martindale Pond was formed. Renowned for its awe-inspiring beauty, people flocked to this area of Port Dalhousie. This is a 1914 picture of a woman taking a canoe up to Martindale Pond.
