Niagara Grape and Wine Festival

Grand Parade

The Grand Parade has long been a central feature of the Festival.   In fact, the Festival's very first event was a parade along St. Paul Street in 1952.  It has been named a top street parade in Canada by the International Festivals Association and attracts visitors from Ontario, Quebec, and neighbouring states.  A second parade was later organized so that children could participate and is known as the Pied Piper Parade.  This informal parade allows children the opportunity to dress in costume and follow the Pied Piper along the parade route, which ends at Montebello Park.
