Niagara River Rapids
There are churning rapids in the upper river just above the Falls. The lower river has turbulent and dangerous rapids as well, which include the Whirlpool Rapids and The Devil's Hole Rapids.

Whirlpool
As the rushing water enters the whirlpool from the rapids, it flows in a counter-clockwise direction. The river makes a sharp turn at the whirlpool and continues flowing towards the lake.
