He retracted the statement under sharp public attack, and privately offered Kennedy his resignation. Remarkably, McNamara survived to swiftly remove Eisenhower's internal brakes on the development of strategic weapons. -

Memoir of Resistance-Pages 57-67
10 printed out pages of "163256: A Memoir of Resistance" by Michael Englishman. The top of page 62 has "Mike Englishman" hand written on the top. Description from Amazon: "163256: A Memoir of Resistance is Michael Englishman’s astonishing story of courage, resourcefulness, and moral fibre as a Dutch Jew during World War II and its aftermath, from the Nazi occupation of Holland in 1940, through his incarceration in numerous death and labour camps, to his eventual liberation by Allied soldiers in 1945 and his emigration to Canada. Surviving by his wits, Englishman escaped death time and again, committing daring acts of bravery to do what he thought was right—helping other prisoners escape and actively participating in the underground resistance. A man who refused to surrender his spirit despite the loss of his wife and his entire family to the Nazis, Englishman kept a promise he had made to a friend, and sought his friend’s children after the war. With the children’s mother, he made a new life in Canada, where he continued his resistance, tracking neo-Nazi cells and infiltrating their headquarters to destroy their files. Until his death in August 2007, Englishman remained active, speaking out against racism and hatred in seminars for young people. His gripping story should be widely read and will be of interest to scholars of auto/biography, World War II history, and the Holocaust." -

Almark and Co. Holding for "Dora"
The publication information for "Dora: The Nazi Concentration Camp where Modern Space Technology was Born and 30,000 Prisoners Died" from ALMARK & CO. A holding for the book "Dora: The Nazi Concentration Camp where Modern Space Technology was Born and 30,000 Prisoners Died" from Almark and Co. Booksellers in Thornhill, Ontario. The book was written by Jean Michel and Louis Nucera. A synopsis of the book reads as follows: "This is the chilling first-person account of a concentration camp that has remained virtually unknown - yet it is the place where the very foundations of the United States and Soviet space programs were laid. 'Dora' was the strangely feminine name that Nazis gave to the camp that inmates and guards of Bergen-Belsen, Auschwitz, and Buchenwald regarded as the worst of all. Jean Michel, a member of the French Resistance who survived Dora tells the horrifying story that historians have avoided. Hidden rocket facilities were established at Dora to ensure secrecy after the Allied bombing of Pennemünde in 1943. Concentration camp inmates hacked tunnels by hand into the Harz Mountains to house the factories. 60,000 Slaves Built V1s & V2s for the Nazis, laying the foundation of the United States and Soviet space programs and 30,000 died." -

The Illustrated History of Canada
First published in 1987, The Illustrated History of Canada was the first comprehensive, authoritative one-volume history of the country. It featured chapters by seven of Canada's leading historians and hundreds of engravings, lithographs, cartoons, maps, posters, and photographs. Together, these elements created a sweeping chronicle of Canada from its earliest times to yesterday's news. Now The Illustrated History of Canada has been fully updated to bring readers into the twenty-first century, with new material on such topics as the rise of small government, the recognition of Native land claims, Canada's role in the post-Cold War peace, and the 2011 federal election. More than ever, The Illustrated History of Canada is a must-have reference guide for all Canadians interested in the history - and the future - of our country. -
Possible TWTCF Book Cover Draft
A sketch by AMM of a hill with a tree on it, with a crow (presumably) flying overhead, its arc drawn with a line. I am slightly unsure of what is being depicted on the far right of the page next to the tree. The title of the book is in the top left. I am speculating that is it a cover design draft. -
