Gardens in Niagara

Welland Ship Canal Gardens

The Welland Ship Canal Company originally used the site at Port Weller (near St. Catharines) as a forestry and maintenance division.  The site included flowerbeds, a pool, greenhouse, and tree nursery.  The trees grown here were intended to be used to protect and beautify canal lands.   The area is now known as Malcolmson Eco Park.
