At the Musée du Niel
In June 2024, members of the Research Centre in Interdisciplinary Arts and Creative Culture, homed in the Centre for Studies in Arts and Culture (STAC) at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts, took part in a one-week artist residency at the contemporary-art Musée du Niel in southern France. The objective was to document and reflect upon a fragile environment on the Mediterranean coast. The virtual exhibition Back from the Peninsula features selected contributions (creative writing, drawings, photographs, recordings).
The Musée du Niel is situated on the Giens Peninsula, Hyères and is dedicated to the artistic expression of the second half of the 20th century, particularly non-figurative and abstract art in post-war France.
