Michael Henry and Almedie Mann Henry
Michael Henry and his wife Almeda [Almedie] Mann were residents of Port Dalhousie. Michael Henry, born in Dunbar, Scotland in 1848, was the son of Robert Henry and Marion Watt. Michael Henry’s brother William D. Henry had married Minnie Medora Field, daughter of George Field and Elizabeth Mary Smith, on 16 March 1886.
Michael Henry and Almeda Mann married on 31 December 1868 in the Presbyterian Church. Almeda was the daughter of Amos Mann and Elizabeth Runchey. Michael Henry was a blacksmith and later an overseer of the canal.
Almeda Mann Henry died 8 January 1908 and Michael died 17 April 1921. Both are likely buried in the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian/United cemetery in Port Dalhousie.
