Description

Question 1: What are your current feelings about the COVID-19 pandemic?
It's encouraging to see the numbers go down for sure. At first we were all waiting for things to go back to normal but I think for the most part I've accepted this as the new normal.

Question 2: Have your opinions about the virus changed over the past twelve weeks? How?
I still see the virus as something that's dangerous and something that I should do everything I can to avoid, but seeing the numbers go down makes me feel a bit more safe.

Question 3: As stores and public places have started to open up, does this make you relieved or more fearful? Why?
A bit of both, but I think more relieved than fearful. I really struggled at first with being isolated and unable to go anywhere, and being able to go other places has made a massive difference in my mental health. I would say it makes me extra careful when I go out in public because the last thing I want is for places to have to close again.

Question 4: What have been the primary ways that you have protected yourself from COVID-19? Isolation? Masks? Gloves? Hand sanitizer? How did you decide?
I wear a mask everywhere I go in public, and I sanitize/wash my hands every time I come home after being out. My mom made cloth masks for everyone in the family so it made sense to take advantage of that and wear my mask everywhere I could.

Question 5: If an effective vaccine is developed within the next year and becomes widely available, would you get the vaccine? Why or why not?
Definitely. I hate needles, but I hate working from home in my small one bedroom apartment more - so there's not much I'm not willing to do to get back to work.

Question 6: Have you been tested for COVID-19? How was that experience?
I haven't shown any symptoms, so I have not been tested for COVID-19.

Question 7: How much longer are you ready to live with regulations and limitations? When should things get back to "normal"?
I don't know - I know some people who aren't returning to work until January and I hope with every fiber of my being that I get to go back before then because working from home is truly terrible. Beyond that, I'm willing to wait until there's a vaccine and things are safe.

Question 8: Have you thought about how you will interact in the community once the pandemic has passed? What will you do the same or different day to day?
It'll be weird for sure. I was supposed to go to a concert in September that's now been postponed until next year, but even then I'm not sure how excited I'll be go to and stand shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of strangers. I'll probably make that decision closer to the day, but in the mean time I'll definitely be more careful about how close I am to people.
