Description

Question 1: What are your current feelings about the COVID-19 pandemic?
A little afraid, a bit skeptical on measures and a lot annoyed. Forced compliance to things against our nature is never fun and old habits die hard.

Question 2: Have your opinions about the virus changed over the past twelve weeks? How?
When I think I understand things, new information comes out that makes me even more skeptical about the measures that are threatening my job security.

Question 3: As stores and public places have started to open up, does this make you relieved or more fearful? Why?
Relieved. I want to go back to the way it was. People are getting the virus even with measures at the expense of a secure economy. At this point, I’m more afraid of a tanked economy than the virus.

Question 4: What have been the primary ways that you have protected yourself from COVID-19? Isolation? Masks? Gloves? Hand sanitizer? How did you decide?
I was off work for a month. I just went out for my own groceries and I did groceries and errands for my parents who are at risk so they can stay isolated. I dropped groceries at the door and kept a distance. Washed my hands and my whole family got ramped up Vitamin D supplement. I have a good relationship with our microbiome. I understand that sterile is not good for my immune system. So masks and gloves were never considered except when I had to drive my parents to doctors appointments and be in the same car with them.

Question 5: If an effective vaccine is developed within the next year and becomes widely available, would you get the vaccine? Why or why not?
No, I prefer natural immunity. I don’t trust vaccines, especially ones that are rushed and not properly tested. I would love to get tested to see if I had the virus at any point with asymptomatic symptoms as an option over getting vaccinated.

Question 6: Have you been tested for COVID-19? How was that experience?
No, I have not.

Question 7: How much longer are you ready to live with regulations and limitations? When should things get back to "normal"?
The summer is a good time to open things up when people are outside together with fresh space and lots of Vitamin D exposure.

Question 8: Have you thought about how you will interact in the community once the pandemic has passed? What will you do the same or different day to day?
Like I said, old habits die hard and I feel like we will all just revert back to how we’ve been all our lives. I see it now when I go out for drives, people just can’t help themselves. We saw it with the protests. It really just can’t be regulated.
