Description

Question 1: As of this date, in what ways has COVID-19 affected you at work / school / other?
I am considered an essential worker so I am still working, but we have closed our storefront. Instead our store is offering pickup and deliveries. As for school, everything has switched to being online.

Question 2: How has it affected you at home? How are you passing the time?
My boyfriend and I are staying home as much as possible, besides grocery shopping and going to work. We have been watching lots of Netflix, Harry Potter, and we are planning on re-watching the LOTR Trilogy.

Question 3: What are your biggest concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak?
I am concerned about finding a job after I graduate next year if this pandemic results in another recession. My boyfriend is already unemployed and cannot find a summer job.

Question 4: Do you know someone who has contracted the virus (no names please)? What has that experience been like for the individual(s) and those around them?
No, thankfully everyone I know is safe and healthy!

Question 5: What are your opinions on how the media has covered the pandemic?
I mainly check government websites and updates to find the most accurate information. It seemed to be exaggerated at first, but mostly everything I have read regarding changes to daily life are true. I enjoy articles of people discussing what they have been doing while at home.

Question 6: Do you feel like your local leaders - medical, political, business - are doing a good job in responding to COVID-19? What about at the provincial or national level?
Mostly, there are now talks of re-opening the economy which is scary.

Question 7: When do you think this will end? What challenges are still ahead? What will be different? What will be better?
I think that this will be ongoing until 2021. Social distancing and staying home more will definitely be practices I will maintain for awhile, even once things start getting better. Sanitization will probably be increased in the public and at home.
