Question 1: As of this date, in what ways has COVID-19 affected you at work / school / other?
I've been out of work since March 13th.

Question 2: How has it affected you at home?
I live with my grandparents so we take precautions when going outside-mask and gloves always and immediately change and shower when we come home. We only go out for groceries once a week if needed and no one besides the 3 of us is allowed in the house.

Question 3: What are your biggest concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak?
Loss of lives. Fort Erie is majorly a retirement community, there are alot of younger people that commute to work so I'm concerned that people who are going to Hamilton or other cities will come home and spread it around F.E

Question 4: Do you know someone who has contracted the virus (no names please)? What has that experience been like for the individual(s) and those around them?
I haven't had anyone close to me get it yet.

Question 5: What are your opinions on how the media has covered the pandemic?
Financial wise it's been good, a little confusing but they should be putting out exactly how many people are being infected in the Niagara area because it's giving people a false sense of security. It's why fort Erie and other areas are still seeing so much traffic.

Question 6: Do you feel like your local leaders - medical, political, business - are doing a good job in responding to COVID-19? What about at the provincial or national level?
So far I don't have any complaints

Question 7: When do you think this will end? What challenges are still ahead? What will be different? What will be better?
As someone who planned to go back to school in Jan 2021 I don't think this will end until sept. This has thrown my entire life in shambles. But safety and health are top priority right now. So unfortunately if things get back to somewhat normal in the summer the nigara region will not see the usual mass of tourists and therefore Niagara itself will suffer because of that. Myself included (I work in tourism)

I hope that we can pull together and stay home to protect our communities. This is not over and it won't be for months. As someone who is apart from her parents and S.O and siblings I want so much to be able to see them again but I will do whatever it takes to keep the people around me safe.
