Answer 1 - Masks:

Masks are slightly uncomfortable and a pain in the ass but I gladly wear one whenever requested or I can't social distance.
They should be mandated. People refusing to wear them should be fined if they don't have a valid reason.
I've seen enough data to believe they are effective in reducing risk.
They certainly are effective in showing who the Darwin winners are as well as the people who don't care about their community.

Answer 2 - Borders:

I know there are families separated by the current closure and I feel for them, but keep it closed until the US can demonstrate that it can control the spread, get it's numbers down and show consistant monitoring of people crossing the border.

Answer 3 - Visitors:

More controls of the flow of visitors into areas that tend to crowd. Run areas in shifts, clear the areas and spray disinfectant before moving next group in. Mandatory masks and distancing. People that can't follow get fined and removed.

Answer 4 - Schools

The Ford government has botched it, likely on purpose. I hope they are investigated and I hope I'm proven wrong. Online learning is sub-par for many things but OK in some instances. I don't believe schools are safe for a minute. High schools and post secondary seem to be better, but a lot of young adults don't seem to acknowledge the risk so I think there will be issues despite the efforts of safety there.

Answer 5 - Second Wave:

Yes. I believe Dr Leung when he said that it would be virtually statistically impossible to not have a second wave. I believe it will be worse than it should be because we aren't as good as we could be at preventative measures and we seem to have a lot of window-lickers living among us.

Answer 6 - Missing Out:

Concerts and art festivals for sure, travel, even visits with friends, library, museums, public places. I'll be comfortable returning to them when the numbers come down.

Answer 7 - Sources:

Various but mostly official sites. A friend posts the numbers from the AP newswire. I was watching both the John Hopkins site and Worldmeter, I also check the Canadian national and provincial sites.
For other news I tend to use CBC, Global, and BBC.
Friends post local news as well which I read.

Answer 8 - Return to Normal:

I hope we never return to normal. The events of the last few years have shown a broken society and it took the pandemic to basically shake the last of the facade away. I think it will be 2 years of living with viral infection. 5 years of near civil war in the US. 10 years for the economy to recover. and 20 years to treat BIPOC people with the dignity they deserve now.
