Documenting COVID-19 in Niagara

I agree:

Yes

Answer 1 - Masks:

Not sure about the effectiveness but as we still know little about this virus do not think that we should have a problem wearing a mask. It is a small price to pay to protect not only ourselves but our loved ones.

Answer 2 - Borders:

Excellent decision. With so many Americans falling ill and so many people not believing COVID is as real as it is, keep the borders closed until we have a vaccine.

Answer 3 - Visitors:

Perhaps limiting the number of people at inside attractions and enforcing social distancing outside at these attractions. Any pictures I have seen do not show people social distancing.

Answer 4 - Schools

I believe online learning is inevitable but I do think the in person social connections are also important. I cannot comment on whether or not our schools are safe. I’m sure like anything this varies from board to board and school to school. I do think that the boards and all staff are doing the best they can but there is so much not known about COVID that we cannot be certain we are doing everything humanly possible.

Answer 5 - Second Wave:

Absolutely! For the most part I do not think people are taking this seriously enough. It seems to be that unless you have been affected by COVID personally people are becoming complacent.

Answer 6 - Missing Out:

Many social engagements and milestones in our family. I do not believe we will be comfortable until there is a vaccination. We have family at both ends of the spectrum and everything in between. We would not feel comfortable putting anyone at risk.

Answer 7 - Sources:

The National
Global News
Local Public Health

Answer 8 - Return to Normal:

12-16 months but in all likelihood not until there is a vaccination. Not sure any of us will ever return to the old norm but perhaps this is a good thing. Much too much has been taken fir granted.
