Documenting COVID-19 in Niagara

Collected Item: “[Untitled]”

I agree:

Yes

Answer 1 - Masks:

I think masking is taking away our rights. There is no scientific proof they do not cause harm and that they are actually effective. If people want to wear them go for it, it should not be mandated !! The only masks that could work are surgical masks that are worn in a sterile environment and even at that changed every 4 hours. It is not effective when it makes it hard to breathe, cases are rising and people don’t wear or care for them properly.

Answer 2 - Borders:

It was a good decision when we didn’t know much about the spread. However people come here via other means of transport it doesn’t seem to be doing what it was meant to. People cannot see their families. It is a sad time.

Answer 3 - Visitors:

We need tourism to survive. Be more like Scandinavian countries such as Switzerland who don’t mask or distance. Create Hurd immunity.

Answer 4 - Schools

The masking and heavy use of toxic sanitizers has made the environments hostile and anxiety filled. Online is mediocre. There are many things to be figured. Allow kids to be kids at school. Just like the flu and colds it will go around. Masked or not. As we are seeing today.

Answer 5 - Second Wave:

Yes. I wouldn’t call it a second wave, though. I’d call it cold and flu season and the natural pattern of any new disease.

Answer 6 - Missing Out:

I missed out on weddings. And I would for sure return to these next year, as long as we can cross the border.

Answer 7 - Sources:

Definitely not from mainstream media where they get paid to say certain information and embellish what they want. I do extensive research to find credited research on both sides of matters. Where I can then form my own educated decision rather than be brainwashed.

Answer 8 - Return to Normal:

I don’t know when. But we should go back normalcy. It’s terrible when there are more deaths from suicides and overdoses.
