WEEK 12 thoughts and feelings

Still a little unsure if I am safe while grocery shopping, but ordering online leads to not receiving a lot of what I need. We are spending a lot more in groceries - it seems there are not as many items that I need, on sale, as frequently. I used to buy in bulk when sales were on, but there are restrictions on how much a person can buy. I am working, so I am pleased to still have a job, but what about a social life? I am getting kind of antsy, not being able to visit friends' homes.

I think so, I am less worried than I was, that I might catch it. I still wear a mask when I go grocery shopping, but no one I know has had it, so it seems less worrisome.

I am a little fearful that there will be another peak in the outbreaks, but I am not really worried about getting it, myself.

I have always used copious amounts of hand sanitizer, but now I wear a mask to the grocery store. My partner was worried about other people getting too near me, but I probably wouldn't wear it, if it wasn't for his concern.

Yes, I would get the vaccine. I am in a high risk group: asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure. I would like to know I can go anywhere without worrying I will get sick.

Yes I have. It was simple and quick. I was impressed with the precautions taken at the site and by staff, for protecting themselves and patients. It was a little strange to feel the swab go up my nose to the back of my throat, but it was not painful.

I am ready to live with regulations and limitations until we get down to almost no new cases. Then, things can get back to normal. I can have a 'social life' on facetime until then.

I will be the same. As I mentioned in an answer above, I have always used copious amounts of hand sanitizer, so that will continue. I have also always kept my distance from people and am not a 'hugger,' so those things won't change.
