My wife is an infection control nurse with the Niagara Public Health Unit. Since the pandemic began in earnest in Niagara, she has been working 10-12 shifts, six or more days a week, and thinking of little else when home. Her colleagues are all the same. They are exhausted. But they never stop. True professionals and heroes.
Two friends left these flowers at our door to lighten her day. It worked.
Purchasing the flowers also supported local nurseries who had large orders for Easter and Mother’s Day cancelled due to restrictions and financial uncertainty due to the pandemic.
