Stan Mikita and the '73 Convocation
On 15 October 1973, Brock University awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree to the legendary Stanley Mikita. The Chicago Blackhawk centre and St. Catharines native became the first professional hockey player to receive an honorary degree.
